Chester A Thurlow

Belle, both you and Chet mean the world to me and my family. We will always treasure our Halloweens spent together and the endless support during and after our teaching careers. Love you 🩷

Mr. Chester Thurlow was an excellent teacher and a favorite of many students. His sense of humor was greatly appreciated when learning about US History. The members of the Class of '72 were so glad he was able to attend our 50th reunion in 2023. He was a great man!

I’m so sorry to hear of Chet’s passing. We met over 50 years ago when we came to Aberdeen to teach. My husband, Tom Baine, and Chet were good friends and colleagues. Annabelle taught Art. We partied together and we’ve grown old together. It’s sad to see our friends leave us but one by one they do. Chet was a good man, good friend and family man. So many memories. Rest in peace, my friend.

One of a handful of teachers who come to mind when I think of my favorites. His classes were fun and interesting. My prayers for peace to Mrs. Thurlow and all of his loved ones.
