Obituary

Mary “Joan” Buedel of Baltimore, MD died on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at In Good Hands in Joppa, MD. She was 83.

Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Dave Alexander and Sophie Mary (Kaczynski) Rucker.

A shipping administrator for the US Coast Guard, Mrs. Buedel was a member of the Women’s Traffic and Transportation Club of Baltimore where she was past president and in her spare time she enjoyed line dancing.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Lambros and her husband Daniel of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Sophia Dougherty and her husband John, Demetrios Lambrose and Sarah Scarpino and her fiancée, Alan Secarro and her great grandchildren, Addison and Nora. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Dorothy Ida Rucker.

Interment will be private.

Joan was such an incredible part of the Women's Traffic and Transportation Club. She was an extreme advocate of our Scholarship Program. She has been missed and will continue to be missed. But, I bet there is a great party happening in heaven. Rest in peace Joan. You take our love with you.
