Obituary

James Erwin Teague, age 70 of Aberdeen passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Born in Denison, TX to the late Trumon and Hester (Erwin) Teague; beloved husband of Sharon (Wilson) Teague for 52 years; loving father of Elizabeth McQuerrey and husband Terry of Perryville, James "Steve" Teague and wife Michelle of Colora and Carole Williams and husband Scott of Havre de Grace; dear brother of Truman Teague of Denison, TX and the late Mary "Sis" Bryan, Charles, William, David and Richard Teague; proud grandfather of Steffani Oberdalhoff and husband Jason, Joseph McQuerrey and wife Emily, Matthew Williams, Steven McQuerrey, Sara and Hanna Williams and Charlie Teague; dear great-grandfather of Abigail Oberdalhoff. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Viet Nam war veteran. He recently retired as a truck driver after over 40 years. He enjoyed horse races, watching football, working on cars that still had points and plugs, but mostly he enjoyed his family. His favorite things in this life were his wife, children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He lived his life simply without ever wanting or feeling a need for material possessions but only conversations or visiting with family. He was a man of few words, but knew that when he did say something, he was heard. Family will receive friends for a Memorial Visitation on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 6-8 pm in the family owned Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, PA of Aberdeen. A Memorial Service will begin at 7 pm. Condolences may be placed on www.tarringcargo.com Funeral Home: Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home 333 South Parke Street Aberdeen, MD US 21001

Even though Jim & Sharon (and kids) always lived in MD and we were in TX (after Daddy retired from the Army), you were all such a part of our lives. From the time I was a little girl, I felt close to my Uncle Jim and Aunt Sharon. While I am very sad to know my family is hurting by Uncle Jim's passing, I rejoice that he is no longer struggling and reunited with his parents and siblings. Praying comfort to my MD family!! Love from Texas
