Morgan Eugene Tildon

Morgan Eugene Tildon, Sr., age 93; affectionately called "Pop Pop" by his grandchildren passed away in his home on Friday, August 21, 2015 peacefully in his sleep. Morgan was born in Harford County, Maryland on February 13, 1922 to the late parents of Shirley Morgan Christy and Blanche Rebecca Tildon-Webster. Morgan joined the Army in 1943 he was a World War II Veteran. After being honorably discharged, Morgan worked on Aberdeen Proving Ground as a civil service employee for 33 ½ years until his retirement. Once he retired he enjoyed fishing two or three times a week. Also he enjoyed frequent bus trips to different casinos until his illness in 2009. Morgan was married to the late Lucinda Edith Snowden and out of this union eight children were born. He leaves to cherish his memory four sons, James and wife Kim, Aberdeen, Md., William, Aberdeen, Md., George, Aberdeen, Md., Garry and wife Christine, Largo, FI.;one daughter, Dorothy, Aberdeen, Md.; one daughter-in-law, Frankie, Havre de Grace, Md.; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He also leaves to cherish his memory a special friend, Mrs. Oneida Christy who often took care of him during his illness and Ms. Joyce Kenly who would call just about every day checking on his health or just to tell him "Hi". Morgan was preceded in death by one brother, Walter, one sister, Dorothy, two sons Robert and Morgan, Jr., a daughter Blanche Tildon Slater, and a grandson Corey. A visitation will be held at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home on Saturday, August 29 from 10-11am where services will begin at 11:00am. Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens.
