Obituary

In loving memory of

Jorden Allen Bailey

2006 – 2025

Jorden Allen Bailey was born at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland on August 16th 2006 and passed away unexpectedly on May 20, 2025 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore at the age of 18.

Jorden is deeply loved and missed by his father, John Barnes Bailey, who was his sole provider and caretaker since the age of five; his sister, Jacqueline Marie Bailey; and his grandmother, Patricia Marlene Hall.

After graduating from high school, Jorden worked alongside his father managing and operating his father’s four Etsy businesses. He was a passionate video game enthusiast and ranked among the top players worldwide in Enlisted, a squad-based, multiplayer tactical WWII shooter and he spent much of his free time improving his already incredible stats.

Jorden also had a love for cooking and gardening. He prepared most of his family’s meals using the vegetables he grew himself, and he dreamed of one day becoming a professional chef.

With a heart of gold, Jorden often looked after the younger kids in his neighborhood ... fixing their bike chains, filling their tires, and offering a helping hand whenever he could.

Jorden had a deep affection for animals, especially his family's ten cats. He treated each of them like cherished companions, often spending time playing with them and making sure they were always well cared for and loved.

Though his passing was unexpected, Jorden’s kind spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will never be forgotten.

Jorden used to start stick fights with me, my best friend, and a bunch of neighborhood kids. He always went after my best friend first—and yeah, spoiler: she never won. Even when we both charged him, he didn’t budge. He’d just stand there laughing like it was nothing, and it always made us laugh too. – His sister, Jackie Bailey

We lost one of the good ones. Jordan, just 18, left us way too soon, right before he was set to turn 19 this summer. When his mom left, that hit him hard, but Jordan carried on with a quiet strength that made you admire him even more. He wasn't perfect—not even close. His room was a total mess, like a tornado had ripped through it. He'd promise to take the trash out "in a sec," then forget every time. Every holiday season when I came to the US, Jordan was right there helping his dad run the business. Jordan saw the good in everyone, even when they doubted themselves. We're all gonna miss everything about him: his playful arguments with Jackie, those warm bear hugs, and strong handshakes, the way he made every moment a little brighter. More than anything, his family is grateful they got to know him, love him, and be loved by him. That's what made Jordan special—he made you feel like you won the lottery just by being in his life. His family will carry that with them, always.
