Nance L. Keithley

Nance Louise Keithley died Tuesday, October 27 at her home in Aberdeen. She was 88. Born in Fresno, CA she was the daughter of the late Alex and Louise (Flack) Peterson. Mrs. Keithley was a secretary at Fallston Hospital and UCMC and a telephone operator at APG. She was a member of both the Aberdeen Lions Club and the Soroptimist Clubs as well as the Oak Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Clarence M. Keithley, Sr.; sons, Clarence "Melvin" Keithley, Jr. and wife Tina of Sumrall, MS, Don Keithley and wife Sandy and George Keithley and his former wife Daphne all of Aberdeen; daughters, Valerie Wilkerson and husband Lester Shifflett of Westminster and Mary "Annette" Keithley-Briney and her husband Rick of Churchville; brother, Don Peterson of Fresno, CA; grandchildren Clarence Melvin Keithley, III and wife Sharon, Courtney Collins and husband Jon, George Keithley, Carla Hoeck and husband Daniel, Elizabeth and Rebecca Keithley, and Brandon Keithley Lyons; great grandchildren, Tyler and Michael Hiers, Victoria, Savanna and Dylan Keithley and Hadley Collins and great great grandchildren, Kari and Luna Hiers. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brothers Pete and Al Peterson. A visitation will be held at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home on Saturday, October 31 from 10-12pm where a funeral service conducted by Rev. Daniel Hoeck will begin at 12:00pm.
