Elizabeth H Demko

Elizabeth H. Demko died on October 27 in her home after several years of declining health. She was 98. She was born in Negley, Ohio to the late Frank and Catherine Henn. She is the last to survive of seven siblings. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William R. Demko, in 1992. Survivors include her son, Al Demko, daughter, Sandra Hall (husband Dr. Thomas R. Hall), granddaughter, Jennifer Galloway (husband Jeffrey Galloway and great grandson, William), and grandson David Hall (wife Jennifer Hall). Betty was a very active person. As well as being employed at APG for twenty years in various secretarial positions, she kept busy tending to her home and yard and activities with friends and family. After her retirement, she and her husband traveled to see half the world. After his passing, Betty traveled to see the other half. Her enthusiasm and energy were boundless. She was an inspiration to us all. Visitation for family and friends will be at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home in Aberdeen, MD between 6 and 9pm on Thursday, Oct. 29. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Oct. 30 with burial services at Harford Memorial Gardens to follow. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.tarringcargo.com.
