Bachtel family, I'm so sorry for your families loss. I remember assisting Mrs. Bachtel when she would stop in at Klein's to do her grocery shopping. My prayers and thoughts are with you. Sincerely, Michelle Zammat

Mary Ann has been one of my closest friends since March of 1978 when I started working at the Maryland Army National Guard in Havre de Grace, Maryland. We kept in touch after she left to go to APG as well as into her retirement years. It did not matter whether a week, a month or even a year passed by we would pick up right where we left off. Mary Ann was that kind of friend. Always there to listen or help or laugh or cry with you. Mary Ann loved her husband John so very much. Their summers camping were always a wonderful time that she liked to talk about. She also loved the summer, going to the beach and riding in her convertible with the top down. Her love for her children and grandchildren and her love for the Lord always showed itself during conversations at any time day or night. She also loved her church family and her dear Westie....Buddy. Every moment spent with Mary Ann was always full of laughter and love. Although I will miss my dear friend terribly, I also have a sense of peace knowing that after all the years of missing her parents, brother, son Billy and granddaughter Faith she is having a wonderful time catching up with them in Heaven. I truly believe that this is not the end but the beginning and one day according to God's Will I will see her again. I find comfort knowing that as well. Thanks for the memories my friend! Love, Joey
