They moved back to Vermont in the mid 80'S, where she worked at Foley's Laundry until 1990. In 1990, Marlene and her husband moved to Maryland to be part of the Greater Grace church. From 1990 thru 1993, Marlene worked as a sorter for Lord Baltimore Laundry. From 1996-1998, she worked a coffee cart at the Sheraton in Towson. Marlene was a very supportive wife working closely with her husband, as a secretary for the Diabetic Ministry and preparing the Too Sweet Newsletter. She searched verses for the letter and read them for her husband when his health started to deteriorate.
Marlene loved to attend church, reading her Bible and crocheting. When she could no longer crochet, her hobbies became word search puzzles, long country rides, and tormenting her son-in-law (Tim) during hours of playing Canasta. After years of battling Diabetes and kidney issues, Marlene finally went home to be with the Lord and her husband on March 10th, 2016.
