Dorothy Ann MacArthur October 4, 1949 – April 22, 2016 On Friday, April 22, 2016, Dorothy Ann MacArthur (nee Vahlroos), age 66, was called home by her maker after being sick for a few weeks and was reunited with her father and mother, Bruno and Blanche Vahlroos (nee Aleschik) and her grandson, Jaccob Dale Griffin. She is survived by her son, Douglas C. MacArthur, Jr. of Romney, WV, her daughters Stephanie Ann Tinker of Aberdeen, Jennifer S. Warner and husband Rick of York, PA, Brigette E. Reed and husband Steve of Bel Air, and Christine P. Koerner and husband Mark of Delta, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jessica, Wyatt, Gabrielle, Hunter, Benjamin, Julia, Caleb, Douglas, Zayda and Luke. Dorothy MacArthur worked in the Civil Service for a few years before becoming a homemaker. She also volunteered at the American Legion Post 17 for a number of years where she served a term as President of the Ladies Auxiliary. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 27th at 1:00pm at Spesutia Cemetery on Spesutia Road in Aberdeen.
