I first met Ms Joanne when I began working at Grumpy's in 1998. Back then, she was always in the kitchen either prepping, cooking, yelling at the others to keep up with her (who were 20 years her junior hahaaa!), or any combination of other things. I immediately realized I both loved her and was terrified of her lol!!! Joanne treated me like family, as she did all the others that came through Grumpy's doors. No one ever left hungry and everyone left feeling they had just dined with their own families. Joanne laughed with me, cried with me, yelled at me...just as if I truly was family. She always greeted me with a hug years after I stopped working at the restaurant and I was always so happy when I would run into her at Grumpy's because seeing her simply made everyone feel good. My heart goes out to the entire family; Vickie, Debbie, Teddy, and Timmy: we are thinking of you and your siblings, and sending love and light your way.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I was one of Joann's neighbors and we had some pretty good conversations. A very lovely lady. I live upstairs on second floor and loved hearing her out chasing the geese away from her patio. She will be missed.

Vickie & Debbie - I was so very sorry to hear about your Mother. Please know that I will hold you and your family in my prayers. I'm sure Dorothy Suttle would want me to tell you how sorry she is, also. Take care. I'm sorry I will not be able to make the Aug 4 arrangements, it is my birthday and a friend is giving me a party. but I will be thinking of you all day Thursday!
