Gary J. Steffan

Gary Joseph Steffan of Aberdeen passed away at his home on Saturday, August 21. He was 58. Born in Pittsburgh, PA he was the son of the late Gerald Steffen and Leona (Milklavcic) Steffan. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Gregory Steffan. Mr. Steffan worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for the University of Maryland. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, and the American Legion Post #128 in Aberdeen. Mr. Steffan was a veteran who served his country in the United States Army obtaining the rank of Sergeant. He received several awards including the Army Achievement Metal, Commendation Metal, and Good Conduct Medal. He is survived by his wife Karen Steffan, sons, Shawn Maughan and Andrew Steffan daughter, Mikynsi Steffan of Aberdeen. Brothers Kevin and Timothy Steffan of Pittsburgh, PA. And 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 110 W. Bel Air Avenue, Aberdeen, MD., on Saturday, August 27 from 9:30-11:00am where a funeral service conducted by Pastor Robert Clipp will be held at 11:00am. Reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
