Obituary
Elisabeth Katharina Cobler died Saturday, August 27 at her Churchville home after battling lung cancer for the past year and a half. She was 85.
Born in Bad Homburg, Germany she was the daughter of the late Peter and Wilhemine (Radmacher) Buff.
Mrs. Cobler was a housewife who was an avid sewer and enjoyed doing arts and crafts. She also loved gardening and watching the birds and other wildlife it attracted.
In service to the community Mrs. Cobler volunteered her time to those less fortunate. She was a regular volunteer at Wyman Park Hospital for a number of years. Often she made blankets and pillow cases for children suffering with cancer. She was also a volunteer at the Franciscan Center located in Baltimore. At Christmas time she never forgot to make donations of food to the hungry, as well as blankets and clothes to those in need.
She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Donald L. Cobler; son, Curt W. Cobler of Missouri, TX; daughter, Virginia Cobler of Perryville, MD; grandson, Nicholas Cobler of Missouri, TX and her siblings Walter Buff and Charlotte Drefahl both of Germany. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sibling's, Hermann, Louise, Willy, Gertrude, Maria, Heinz, and Abols.
