Obituary
LeRoy D. Fothergill, Jr. (Ret. CW3) of Aberdeen died Friday, October 14 at Perry point VAMC. He was 83.
Born in Boston, MA he was the son of the late LeRoy & Marguerite (Nevins) Fothergill, Sr.
Mr. Fothergill retired from the U.S. Army after 26 years. He was a 32o Scottish Rite Mason who loved to collect and restore antique tractors.
He is survived by his wife Maria (Hammerlindl) Fothergill; son, LeRoy D. Fothergill, III of Aberdeen; daughters, Linda L. Welsh and Patricia A. Felts both of Aberdeen; brothers, James Fothergill of Deland, FL and Robert Fothergill of Colonial Heights, VA; grandchildren, Steven, Nicole, Alexa, Tyler, Morgan, MacKenzie, Colleen, Grace and Alena and his great grandchildren, Hunter, Hailee, Talon, Isabela, Carlos, Sofia, Gabriela, Aidan, Ella, Presley and Phoenix.
A visitation was held at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 18 from 5pm-7pm, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 19 at 11:00am. Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be LeRoy Fothergill, III, Barry Welsh, Tyler Lyons, Steven Johnson, Richard Felts and Kevin Brink.
