Obituary
Daniel Lee Hemling of Abingdon died Monday, October 17, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. He was 69.
Born in Baltimore he was the son of the late Paul and Jeanie (Stewart) Hemling and husband of the late Janis Hemling.
Mr. Hemling retired as a foreman from Bethlehem Steel.
He is survived by his son, Jay D. Hemling of Abingdon; daughter, Christy Bell of Bel Air; brother, Jack Hemling of Havre de Grace; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

So sorry for your family's loss. I have known Danny since I can remember remembering...that young. I was afraid of him (he was SO tall) but learned he wasn't so scary after all. I know his family and friends are going to miss him very much. God Bless.

I'm sorry to hear of Dan's passing. I grew up with Dan in Abingdon and just returned from our 50th high school reunion. I was hoping to see him there and shocked by this news. Dan was a great athlete in high school and I have many fond memories of growing up with him. My wife and I extend our deepest condolences to his family. Bob & Barbara Johnson

Danny and I played on the basketball teams at Edgewood. He was a good friend, Man and teammate. May he rest in Peace.
