Eleanor Catherine Welsh

Eleanor Catherine Welsh, “Cathy” passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Christiana Hospital due to complications from lung cancer.

Cathy was born in Aberdeen, Maryland to the late Eugene William Welsh Jr. and Nancy White Welsh.

Cathy attended Aberdeen Senior High School and Harford Community College. She worked for many years as a legal secretary. She went on to obtain her license in real estate, managed her sister’s dental practice, assisted her brother in his engineering business, worked at Academy Film in Baltimore, and later became a gardener and artist. She was kind, generous, loved all animals and nature. She loved the beach and kayaking. She was intuitive and always tried to help others in need.

She is survived by her sister Dr. Sharon Welsh (Dr. Ed Haas) of Lewes, Delaware, brother, Joseph E. Welsh (Tereasa ) of Havre de Grace, Maryland, sister, Linda Welsh of Dover, New Hampshire, and brother John Mark Welsh (Linda) of Havre de Grace, Maryland as well as a nephew (Sean J. Welsh) and niece ( Kaitlyn Rybczynski) both of Havre de Grace, Maryland.

Funeral services will be private.
