Freida E. Peck

Freida Elizabeth Peck passed away Friday, December 30 at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace. She was 91. Born in Conowingo, MD she was the daughter of late Theodore Culley and Carrie Jones Culley. Mrs. Peck was a retired Civil Servant who worked for the National Guard. A longtime member of Deer Creek Presbyterian Church and attended Havre de Grace Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Young at Heart, VFW Post No. 8126 and Perryville American Legion Post # 135. She enjoyed playing bingo. She is survived by her; sons, Bruce Capan and wife Karen of Rochester, New York, and Gary Van Wert of Have de Grace, MD. Brother; Lester Culley and Sisters: Catherine Jones and Shirley Poole. Three grandchildren: Cary Davis, Elizabeth (Andy) Armstrong and Tara (Scott) Davies 6 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. She was predeceased by a son Eddie Capan and a granddaughter Danielle Capan. A visitation will be held at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home on Monday, January 2 from 9-11am where a funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Susan Atkinson at 11:00am. Interment will be in Angel Hill Cemetery, Havre de Grace, MD. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8219 Town Center Drive, Baltimore, MD 21236.
