Mr. Bill Lurton was my homeroom teacher in the school year of 1961 -1962, 7th grade. He was the most quiet teacher . Always very polite & always ready to help me with any school problem. I still know where I sat, 1st row as you came in the door behind the 1st desk. Steve Bilka sat in front of me. I remember catching him humming a tune after school one day, as I came into his room.He was always willing to help me with a school task. God Bless all that mourn . Somehow first great impressions never ever leave us. I am now 66 yrs old & I still remember his kindness. May his soul rest in peace. Fondly, Debbie Stearn Mayhew

I had the pleasure of working with Bill at Aberdeen Middle from 1973 to 1977. He was an outstanding teacher and a consummate gentleman. I grew to love him because he was unselfish and kind. I know he has his "wings" and will watch over all of us who cared for him.

I have never known a kinder nor gentler man than Mr. Bill. He and Ms. Helen have meant the world to me as neighbors and friends. My heart goes out to all who mourn. God bless you, Mr. Bill, you will be missed.
