Hazel Virginia Toner

Hazel Virginia Jones Toner, 94, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Wayne UNC Healthcare in Goldsboro, NC. Hazel was born in Harford County, Maryland on November 8, 1922 to the late Oliver and Frances Singleton Jones. She was married to the late Richard J. Toner. Hazel retired from civil service after 30 years of service. Hazel is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Judy Toner of LaGrange; grandchildren, Amber Toner and Terry Toner; and great-grandchildren, Nicolas Toner, Abigail Toner, Allison Piner, Olivia Toner, James Toner, and Paul Vanak. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Philip Jones, Harry Jones and Charlie Jones; and sisters, Peggy Jones and Mary Tobin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joan of Arc Church on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in the Hartford Memorial Gardens.
