Obituary

Jon Harlan Livezey of Aberdeen, Maryland passed away on July 29, 2025 at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD. He was 86.

Born in Baltimore City, he was the son of the late Henry K. and Isabel (Harlan) Livezey, of Aberdeen, MD.

A 1956 graduate of Aberdeen High School, he was a 1960 graduate of John Hopkins University and a graduate of the University of MD Law School, he was an active member of The Grove Presbyterian Church in Aberdeen, MD. Mr. Livezey retired from being a lawyer in 2019. He was a member of the Maryland House of Delegates from 1970-1974 and, in his spare time, he was actively involved with genealogy.

He is survived by his wife, Mary-Lynne (Thompson) Livezey.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 8 from 9am-10am at The Grove Presbyterian Church where a funeral service will begin at 10:00am. Interment will be at Baker Cemetery in Aberdeen, MD.

Mr. Livezey was my father-in-law's roommate at Citizens Care Center last month. While visiting my father-in-law, I enjoyed getting to know Mr. Livezey. We used to talk about the history of British royalty and other esoteric subjects. He was a very friendly and intelligent fellow. I would have attended today's events but only saw the obituary this afternoon. Condolences to his family.
