I remember Mom's strength and how she stood up to every challenge. She was very weak on the day I saw her and it was a strain for her to talk. She told me to tell everyone that she loved you all, she knew you loved her and she was taking that love with her. Hold onto that love and the good memories of her. I hope this is a comfort to all of you who love her and will miss her. Though I will miss her so very much, I'm glad that she has no more pain or burdens. She can be at rest with our Lord where love, peace and joy abound. Love to all from Tootsie's daughter, Janie

I have known my grandmother all my life. Most of the relatives I knew that were from past generations have moved on. Grandmom Guyton, "Tootsie", was the one that remained the longest. She was funny at times, but very alert and sober. She had a wisdom about her and a lot of times, when looking at her, she would be sort of silent, and in her eyes you could sense great intelligence taking in the situation, the information, and you knew that she was aware of everything on levels you couldn't even imagine. She was also very clever. She would only give you information that you needed to know, or that she was willing to impart to to you. I can only imagine the storehouse of wisdom, knowledge, and experience that was in my grandmother's head. She would often joke about being the "Queen Bee" of the family. When she did this I didn't whether to laugh or be somewhat frightened. I feel like it is an end of an era. It is certainly an injurious blow.
