Alfred Ovington Bowman, Jr.

Alfred Ovington Bowman, Jr. of Churchville died Wednesday, September 13 at Harford Memorial Hospital. He was 76. Born in Havre de Grace he was the son of the late Alfred O. & Elma M. (Elsner) Bowman, Sr. and husband of the late Katharine (Watson) Bowman. Mr. Bowman was an outdoorsmen and had many hobbies. He enjoyed refinishing antiques, hunting for arrowheads, and bird watching. He is survived by his daughters, Judith Bowman of Honolulu, HI, Susan Sfetsas of Havre de Grace and Katharine Bowman Balderson of Wilmington, NC, two granddaughters and four grandsons. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his daughter, Diane Hall and his twin sister Ann B. Ramsay. A graveside service will be held at Churchville Presbyterian Cemetery on 9/21/17 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers you may send contributions to the American Cancer Society in honor of his family members that left us too soon due cancer.
