William H. Drysdale

I’m so sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. I worked with Bill many years ago and considered him a mentor. I don’t know if Army Technical Reports can become classics, but his report on designing kinetic energy projectiles is still a classic in the industry. I mulled through it repeatedly. For a leading expert in the ammunition community, Bill was so unassuming, humble, and always willing to give advice. I appreciated his understating wit, his general good humor, and his kindness. My sympathies to the family. Eternal rest grant unto him and perpetual light.
