Jean Meredith Grim

Jean (Jeanie) Meredith Grim of Aberdeen died Sunday, December 2 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. She was 79. Born in Washington DC she was the daughter of the late Charles and Violet Carter. Ms. Grim graduated from nursing school as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1972. She started her career at Harford Memorial Hospital working in the operating room, the newborn nursery and pediatrics. From there she expanded her career to working in the office of Dr. Kim and Dr. Yeo. She finished her career at Perry Point VAMC after 23 years in 2000. She is survived by her children, Oris A. Grim III of Jefferson, GA and Kimberley J. Haney and Son-in-Law Barry Haney of Aberdeen; brother, Richard Carter of Bumpass, VA, three grandsons Oris A. Grim IV (Chip), Bryan and Kollin Haney and six great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 6 from 11am-12pm at the chapel at Harford Memorial Gardens where a graveside service will begin at 12:00pm.
