Obituary
Constance Laurel Sluder of Aberdeen died Saturday, June 9 at Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was 69.
Born in Havre de Grace, MD she was the daughter of the late John & Hazel (Williams) Hartung and wife of the late Charles E. Sluder who died in 1998.
A homemaker, Mrs. Sluder was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Aberdeen VFW.
She is survived by her son, Richard P. Sluder of Havre de Grace and her grandchildren, Aidan and Lillianna Sluder. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her son Charles J. Sluder.
A visitation will be held at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 13 from 12-1:00pm where a funeral service will begin at 1:00pm. Interment will be in Angel Hill Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Activity Department at Citizens Care Center, 415 S. Market St., Havre de Grace, MD 21078.

Connie had a rough life, but I understand from her friend and neighbor, Connie, that the last 15 years that she's been in Citizens Nursing Home were pleasant for her. Thank you, Connie C., for being the friend and helper that you were to Connie. I hope and pray that she's in a much better place now.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Sluder were among my favorite patients when I was with Dr. Hong Kim. Mrs. Sluder was always so sweet, no matter how uncomfortable she was. My deepest sympathy to her son.

Very sorry to hear about Connie. She was my cousin. Her dad John and my dad Milton "Nuffy" Hartung were brothers. My husband worked with her dad at APG. May she rest in peace.
