Janice Cordelia Thompson

Janice Cordelia (Kelly) Thompson died Friday morning, August 3, 2018, peacefully at her sister’s home with family close by. She was 70. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of the late William and Delia (Maloney) Kelly. She was the wife of 47 years to the late Bruce Elliott Thompson. Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker and held several positions throughout Harford County which always seemed to involve contact with people and her neighbors. She is survived by her son, Bruce Thompson (Stephanie) of Joppa, MD; her daughter, Jennifer Lawing of Havre de Grace; grandchildren, Christopher, Sara and Jared; sister Marlene Adams (Timothy-deceased) of Liberty, IN and brother, William Kelly (Suki) of Havelock, NC and several nieces and nephew. A memorial will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10:45am at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home in Aberdeen, MD. A visitation for family and friends will be held beginning at 10:00am. A private interment will follow and a wake will be held at Bruce Thompson’s house at noon.
