Rick was a great friend and brother fireman . It was always a pleasure to sit down and talk about the good old days at the fire house while sipping some refreshments at Grumpy's. He will be missed but my memories of the good old days not forgotten.

I had been at TCOM in Elizabeth City NC for 12 years when I was promoted to the position of planner and Rick was sent down to train me. I had heard the name before, but never met the man. I soon learned to count on him for everything and wanted to be just like him. He knew the workings of this company inside and out. Loved joking with him. He was the best mentor anyone could ever ask for and he will missed. Love you Rick! Cathy Buchanan (still at TCOM thanks to Rick)

It was my pleasure working with Rick at TCOM for over 20 years. He was very approachable, knowledgeable and had a perfect demeanor with a quick smile. Also enjoyed his company outside of work were we downed many a pint. RIP Rick and you will be missed. I will lift my glass to you as a final toast and An Irish saying. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal. Slain my friend
