How do you put into words what a person means to you? To say you loved them is not enough. Judy Hinch was a very special person. For all of you that knew her, you knew she could get on that very last nerve. She liked things to be done her way. She was at the firehouse almost every day for the past 40 plus years. If she saw you sitting around she would make sure you had something to do, like take the trash out or mop the bathroom floors. She would get on us for leaving the lights on or having the bay doors open. I remember long days past of seeing Judy coming across the street from home with all her cats following her like the pied piper. We would all get up from the table and scramble to make it look like we were busy. What some of you dont know is that once you got to know her, you knew she would do anything for you. She had a very giving heart. She looked after the homeless. She gave them food, money and sometimes shelter. She loved her animals, and when I say "her" animals, it was all animals.Judy .... wow, I still can't believe your gone. I know you are upstairs giving Saint Peter hell for leaving that gate open. She has already put herself in charge over the care of the animals. I'd like to say one more thing. Judy rest in peace. Your job here on earth is done. We'll take it from here.

Thank you Judy for the countless memories around the station and on calls. You were a second mom to many of us; always keeping us in line. Your dedication to your community was immense. I send prayers to the Hinch family, as well as my brothers and sisters with the Aberdeen Fire Department.

Judy, was my first CPR instructor . the class was at the old HDG Ambulance Corps building. She was always professional and very helpful. She had a dry sense of humor and will always be remembered. She touched many peoples hearts, and was liked by many. GOD BLESS. RIP my sister.
