Carolyn June Lerwill

Carolyn June Lerwill of Aberdeen died Thursday, July 11 at Bel Air Health and Rehabilitation. She was 85. Born in Dorrance Twp., PA she was the daughter of the late Kenneth & Mary (Engler) Myers, Jr. Mrs. Lerwill had previously worked for the Pentagon from 1950-1960 and went on to work at Kirk Army Hospital, the APG Optical Shop and finally ended her career with The American Red Cross. During that time she volunteered for over 20 years at the APG Thrift Shop. An avid gardener she enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and was also a member of the American Legion in Aberdeen. She is survived by her daughter, Julia G. Corso and her husband Michael D. Corso of Conowingo; grandchildren, Michael and Ryan Corso; great-granddaughter, Isabella R. Corso; her companion of 29 years, Barry Nelson and niece and nephew, Alayne Unterberger of Tampa, FL and Richard Unterberger of Chambersburg, PA. A memorial service will be held at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home at a later date.
