Gary was one of my favorite residents living at St. John’s Towers. So full of life, he would always come outside when the weather broke for spring and sun himself and we would have conversations about the best vanilla milkshakes he use to make at the big cone. I will miss him deeply. Rest In Peace my dear friend. Debbie Simmons

I have known Gary (Gardenia) since I was four years old. I always looked up to him and loved him as a big brother. He was always happy and wanting to know how you are. Lots of good memories at the Big Cone, farm and family parties. He was a good man and I was blessed to have known him.

Gary Dean - I miss you my brother. I knew you as an even keeled, easy going, laid back kind of guy. As a veteran of Vietnam who sent mom nice china and your little sister a Panasonic transistor radio while you were gone. As the guy who gave me his custom made silk suit to wear for my college graduation. As a little guy, I remember sitting on the front porch with you and hearing about the girl you had an eye for. I remember you as a kind and generous guy. A mentor for scores of Havre de Gracians who worked for you at the Big Cone. As a brother to look up to. And, that swagger. May you Rest In Peace

Many fond memories for those of us that remember the old days. Way back when The Big Cone even sponsored a softball team. Rest in peace. Our condolences to the family. Sincerely, Tom Caine
