William Joseph Hlavin

William Joseph Hlavin went home to the Spirit in the Sky on July 7, 2020 on his 81st birthday after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. Will was born in Baltimore on July 7, 1939 to Catherine Josephine Wilkinson and Charles Edward Hlavin Jr. He was a machine operator for 36 years and retired from Dixie Printing and Packaging after 24 years of service in 2002. Preceded in death by partner of 35 years Alice LaForce in 2008. Survived by his daughter Stephanie (Craig) Coen, grandchildren Stephen and Anna. He will be forever remembered by his extended family. He was a free spirit and a gypsy at heart. Lover of music and an artist. Happiest memories were of deserts and beaches in California. A quiet man, not known by many, he will be missed. Service and interment private.
