Obituary

Forever loved, forever remembered

Patricia Ann Poughkeepsie

February 19, 1956 – January 21, 2026

Patricia Ann Poughkeepsie passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, at the age of 69. She was a devoted wife, a loving family member, and a woman whose kindness and strength left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Born on February 19, 1956, Patricia lived her life with quiet grace and a deep love for her family. She had a gentle spirit and a generous heart, and she found joy in the simple things—especially her love of cats and dogs, flowers, and helping others. Whether caring for animals, tending to flowers, or offering a helping hand, Patricia gave freely of herself and asked for nothing in return.

Patricia was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Sines Elliott; her father, Arthur Benjamin Elliott; her sister, Arlene Elliott; and her brother, Arthur Benjamin Elliott Jr. Though she endured many losses, she remained resilient and devoted to those she loved.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Bruce M. Poughkeepsie, who was her steady companion and a source of love throughout their life together.

Patricia will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her kindness, compassion, and quiet generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of many.

A celebration of life service will be planned in the future.

The family requests no flowers, instead they would prefer memorial donations in Patricia's name be made to Amedisys Hospice
