Linda C. Archer

Linda (Crites) Archer, 73, passed peacefully from this life on December 11, 2020 at Upper Chesapeake Hospital in Bel Air, MD from COVID-19. Linda was born November 17, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Nathien and Ruby Crites of Aberdeen, MD. Linda graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1965. She went on to a successful career at Aberdeen Proving Ground and retired after having worked for the Department of the Army for over 30 years. She had been a Sunday School Teacher. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Linda was in a nursing home for the past 11 years following a stroke. During that time, Bev and Bob Vail visited weekly (or more) and all of their love, tremendous support, and the many things they did for her were very much appreciated by Linda. She loved to go to the beach and particularly Ocean City, Maryland. She and her close friends Beverly Yost and Linda Frakes spent many a memorable week at OC. Her wit and sense of humor were legendary and she brought joy to everyone who knew her. She will be missed. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Denise. She is survived by two grandchildren, Brittany Moore and Bradley Butler. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
