Leland Olaus Vaughan

Leland Olaus Vaughan died Monday, January 25 at his home in Jarrettsville. He was 92. Born in Ft. Wayne, IN he was the son of the late Olaus Vaughan and Nilah (Zigler) Steinkamp and husband of the late Dorothy Vaughan who passed in 2015. A 2nd LT in the U.S. Army, Mr. Vaughan retired from civil service at APG in 1984 and then continued his career for another 22 years workingat the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, P.A. He is survived by his sons; Lowell Vaughan and Stephen Vaughan and wife Terry of Jarrettsville; grandchildren, Samantha Dougherty, husband James; CaseyVaughan, p. Zach Godsey and Timothy Vaughan. Great grandchild, Barry Godsey. In addition to his wife and parents he was predeceased by his brother Lowell. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 30 at Bel Air Church of the Nazarene, from 10-11am followed by a funeral service beginning at 11:00.
