Gene Murray was my uncle and Godfather. I have so many wonderful memories that I will cherish of him. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved Baltimore football and baseball. It was always fun talking sports with him and hearing of those famed Colts and Orioles of the 60’s and 70’s. He also loved southern gospel music, and we went to many concerts from as far back as I can remember. The last time he went with us a few years ago he requested “When He Was on the Cross, I Was on his Mind”. He always liked to shake hands with the singers and thank them for their singing. He and Aunt Margaret have always been so supportive and loving of myself, Sonya, and the girls. I know he is rejoicing in heaven now, but we sure will miss him here. I’m so thankful for the many great memories and for the impact he has had on my life.
