I am shocked to see this today. My grandparents lived across the street from Miss Ruth. I visited her every year, and brought her apples from the orchard. We also kept in touch on Facebook often. I will miss her very much. I am very sorry for your loss.

I thought so much of Ruth. My memories of her go all the way back to Churhville Elem. She was my sister's neighbor for many years and during that time is when I got to know her. She was a very kind , fair and honest person. The truth was a guarantee with Ruth. She cared deeply about her community. My daughter and I were saddened to read of her passing. Rest in peace, Ruth.

Ruth, Helen and Nancy included me in their friend circle when we became old enough to join our church and Luther League and at the same time we entered high school. Our friendship has lasted since then. Ruth was the one who held us together. I think of her as a person who liked people and liked to get them together. I liked that someone I considered one of my oldest friends was so available through social media and I will always miss her. There is no one who fills that spot. May you have a socialable time in Heaven, Ruth. I know the Lord will recognize your gift of getting people together. I love you.

Ruth was one of my first high school friends and church friends. When we became of age we joined the Luther League at church, took confirmation classes and joined the church. We had memorable Luther League outings, and in general, four of us became good friends. Ruth was especially good at keeping us together. That is her speciality. She had a great sense of humor and supplied her friends with jokes via social media. I will miss my connection with my past. I know God recognizes your talents and will put them to use in heaven. Love you, Ruth.
