Obituary

PFC Matthew Joseph Disney of Aberdeen died Friday, June 11 at Ft. Bragg, NC. He was 20. Born in Bel Air, MD he was the son of Racheal M. Bowman of Aberdeen. A Paratrooper, PFC Disney joined the U.S. Army immediately after graduating in 2019 from Aberdeen High School, where he played baseball and volleyball. Matt left a positive impact on every life he touched and had a smile that is described by many as irresistible and infectious. The world feels a little darker without the light he provided but we hope everyone he touched holds up their memory of him like a lantern and we can all return a bit of that light to each other. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters, Faith Disney and Grace Scott; grandparents, Jerry and Annette Bowman, Tina and Gary Kinnison, Charlene Fiorino and Ronald Disney. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 25 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, P.A., where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 26 at 10:00am. Interment with military honors will be at Harford Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Cantu, Richard Perry Jr, Tyler Kinnison, Chris Madera, Will Schmitt, Andrew Cerny, Kenny Shires and Will Bowman. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to Project Big.
