“Buddy is the oldest of my four baby brothers . He came along when I was 8 years old and I cherish the memories of our early years together. Life and miles separated us for most of our adult lives but we reconnected in recent years as he bravely met his final challenge. I love him and will miss him greatly until we meet again. RIP, Bud.

Uncle Buddy The man, the myth, the legend, my Uncle Buddy. In the early mornings before work, he would come by pawpaws house and have his morning coffee. The two of them would gear up and come back in the late evenings looking like they had just went to war. Grease and dirt from head to toe. No job was too tough and everyday he went at it with great determination. Watching this routine as a young boy instilled great work ethic into my character. Between his first coffee and leaving for work, I had my time with Uncle Bud. We would watch movies like Conan the barbarian, Bruce Lee or my personal favorite, The Three Stooges. A loss to any family will do its best to cripple you and destroy the very blueprint of who you are and what you stand for. But I do not have this concern for his family, because I know he’s instilled this very same tough work ethic into his children. I know my cousins will continue to thrive in life and keep his spirit alive through great memories. Thank you for being there at the beginning and I wish I could have been there for you at the end, but I know I will see you again. This is not a goodbye because we are only separated by time, not distance. Love you Uncle Bud, RIP.
