Obituary
Charles Lester Pumphrey of Darlington passed away on Wednesday, November 17 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. He was 82.
Born in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late Howell L. and Hebdina (Ansmink) Pumphrey and husband of the late Dorothy E. (Portaszkiewicz) Pumphrey who died in 2019.
Mr. Pumphrey was a self-employed painter who enjoyed golfing and music.
He is survived by his daughters, Denise Patrick and husband John of Darlington and Cindy Riemer of Westminster; grandchildren, Emily and husband Matthew, Hana, Devin and Garrett. In addition to his wife and parents he was predeceased by his only brother, Earl Roger Pumphrey in 2018.
A visitation will be held at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home on Sunday, November 21 from 10am-12pm with services starting at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1850 York Rd. Ste. D,Timonium, MD 21093.
