Obituary

Dorothy McDowell passed away suddenly on April 8th, 2026 she was born May 27th 1937,in Baltimore, Md. She was preceded in dead by her husband Norman in 1990, also 3 brothers and a sister. Dottie as she was known by everyone was a very strong and independent lady,she loved being around people. She loved her family dearly. Her flowers and collection of angels were very special to her as well as her friends at the Senior Center in Havre de Grace, Dottie is survived by her brother Joseph Stern, her daughter Diane Morris, daughter Joni Pressley and husband ,daughter Cathleen (Cathy) Boyd and son John (JC) McDowell and wife. 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. Dottie was very much loved, and will be missed dearly. There will be a Celebration of life scheduled in the near future.

Being her great granddaughter made me proud. She did everything for others and never asked for anything in return. She was a true people person. She stood up for others and didn't back down from anyone and I'd like to think I got the same traits from her. Some of my best memories are growing up in her home. She was one of a kind and will be missed by many. I love you so much mom mom!
