Nelson Scott Bauman

Nelson Scott Bauman passed away at his home in Aberdeen on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. He was 85. Born in Fostoria, OH he was the son of the late Nelson Bauman, Sr. and Celestia Martin. Mr. Bauman retired from the US military. Having served in both the US Marines and the US Army, he served during the Korean War, Vietnam War and the Cold War. After his military career he worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground as a civil servant. He was a member of the American Legion Post 128 and the VFW post 5337 as well as several organizations at APG. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Whasun Bauman; children, Danny Bauman, Joe Bauman and Sharon Walters all of Aberdeen and Peggy Horne of Chestertown, MD; 13 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren as well as his sister Nancy Roberts of Fostoria, OH. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his daughter Tina Bauman-Bunch who passed in 2021. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 29 from 10-11am at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at 11:30am at Harford Memorial Gardens.
