I am saddened and shocked to learn of my old friend Gerry's untimely death. Even though time and distance have separated us, Gerry made an effort to keep in touch with me, and remind me of the things that are most important. It is a sad irony that just one year ago, following my mother's passing, Gerry sent me a lengthy hand written letter to let me know how much my mother had made a mark on his life. That meant alot to me, not only because of the sentiment. But it was meaningful to me because I knew Gerry always embodied real values. He and I might have joked tgether that those values were beaten into him by the nuns at St. Joan's. But I know better. So that is how I will remember him. I send my condolences to all of his family members and friends.

I was so sorry and saddened to hear about Gerry's passing. I worked with Gerry first at METDC here at ATC but after we both moved to different Directorates, we had kept in touch. Gerry was a very good friend and I will treasure the fond memories that I have of him. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that God will confort you through this time.
