Obituary

Jennifer Lynn “Gigi” Houck, of Rosedale was taken from us June 8th, 2023 at the young age of 49.

Born in Baltimore, MD, Jennifer was the daughter of Garland Houck and Drucinda Yoho (Druyor) and her step father Amos.

She will be deeply missed by her brother Mark Houck and wife Kimberly of Bel Air and their children Jazmine, Christian, and Cameron. As well as her sister Michelle Preston of Sahuarita, AZ. and her children Kayla and Will.

Her memory lives on through her children Davon Kelly and wife Yasmine of Belcamp, David Kelly of Havre de Grace, Jordin Swearingen and husband Kyle of Aberdeen and Jozlynn Kelly of Aberdeen. Gigi’s love will continue to radiate through her grand babies: Davian, Kai, Nova, Cayden, Railynn, and Jax.

She was the general manager for David Blum, O.D. in Rosedale and attended Mountain Christian church in Joppa. She was everything to everyone, and there’s not a soul she touched that she didn’t impact. Uplifting others was her passion.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 13 from 1-3pm and 5-7pm at Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home in Aberdeen.

Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer knows she was devoted to helping people with their glasses. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Lions club, PO Box 111, Aberdeen, MD 21001.

It’s not a specific memory but I remember her energy just being so bright whenever she was around. You could tell y’all had a fantastic bond and I remember thinking that I hope one day I would have that great of a relationship with my children. She was such a light in the world and will surely be missed by many!

Not only was Jen my big sister she was my friend. She understood me and was always there to support and fight for me. She always found the good in people and was always smiling. She was dealt a rough hand throughout her life but that didn’t stop her, she played her cards one by one until she was winning. Jen definitely was at her high in life, was finally happy being exactly where she was in life and who she was. I loved hearing about all of her proud moments and how much she was accomplishing. Jen I am so proud of the woman you became and the mom and Gigi you were. I am going to miss you so much… until we laugh together again I love you
