Daniel Scott Brooks, 55, of Dundalk, MD, passed away unexpectedly September 1, 2023 at Johns Hopkins Bayview.
Born in Havre de Grace, MD, Danny was the son of Roberta Brooks and the late James Brooks. He attended John Carroll High School and Harford Community College. He was an entrepreneur, owning his own cell phone business, Chesapeake Cellular and most recently was a forklift supervisor at COSTCO, a company he loved.
Danny volunteered for the Aberdeen Fire Department, Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps and Susquehanna Hose Company for many years. He joined the Ambulance Corps on September 3, 1986 and served the Corps and Susquehanna Hose Company until August 19, 2002 when he requested to be put on on the lifetime rolls with almost 16 years of service. He also served 2 and a half years with Aberdeen Fire Department. In 1991-1992, Danny served as Vice President of the Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps.
Danny was an outstanding cook, some of his specialties being brisket and shrimp alfredo. He was a salt water aquarium hobbyist but will always be remembered as a loving and proud father, devoted to his family.
In addition to his mother, surviving to cherish his memory are his devoted life partner of 18 years, Samantha Attwood of Dundalk; his sons Bradley Brooks of Baltimore, and Dominick Brooks of Dundalk; his daughter Hannah Brooks of Bel Air; his sister, Lisanne M Blake and her husband Phillip of Bel Air; his nephew Andrew Blake, and his niece Ashleigh Blake.
A visitation will be held at Tarring Cargo Funeral Home, P.A., 333 S. Parke St., Aberdeen, MD 21001 on Thursday September 7, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Friday, September 8, 2023 at 11:00 am. The family invites all to join them for a repast following the service to celebrate Danny's life. Burial will take place at Baker Cemetery, Churchville Road, Aberdeen, MD on Monday September 11, 2023 at 10:00 am. Contributions in Danny’s memory may be made to the Susquehanna Hose Company, 125 N.
