Henry Robert Bumba, Sr.

Henry R. Bumba Sr. of Havre de Grace, MD, died April 9 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in BelAir. He was 86. Born in Baltimore on June 10, 1919, Mr. Bumba was a World War II Veteran. He enjoyed traveling to his annual World War II reunions in various states to see his army buddies. He is retired from Bugle Laundry Linen Supply in Baltimore where he served as manager and also Price Brothers in Perryman where he served as 1st Class Welder. A devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and mend, in his retirement years he enjoyed pouring his wisdom, encouragement, guidance, and most of all, love into his family. He was an anchor and icon to his family. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Dianne Morris of Aberdeen, Henry R. Bumba Jr. and his wife, Cathie, of Havre de Grace, Raymond Bumba of Havre de Grace, Donna Bumba of Aberdeen, David Bumba of Havre de Grace, Daniel Bumba and his wife, Heidi, of Port Deposit, MD, 7 grandchildren, Shannon, Helena, Brandyn, Bridget, Lindsey, Gillian and Trace, 7 great grandchildren, Tyler, Olivia, Hannah, Michael, Morgan, Alana, and Sydney, and 1 brother, Howard Bumba of Louisville, KY, and his family. Mr. Bumba was predeceased by his wife, Helena Lu Bumba, son, Matthew Bumba, son . in-law Thomas Morris, brothers, Elmer and Robert Bumba, and grandson, Henry R. (Bobby) Bumba III. Viewing will be April 11 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home in Aberdeen. Funeral services will be April 12 at 10:00am at Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home. Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens.
