Thelma was the sister of a good friend. The one thing I remember most about Thelma is she always made you laugh and she would help you no matter what. This would be a better place if there were more people like her. Thelma you were one of the Coolest people I ever knew and I know you will be missed by many. An Old Friend Dudley

I have such wonderful memories of Thelma. I worked with her several years at Coomes 7-11 in Bel Air, and she was a breath of fresh air. I never heard a cross word from her about anyone. She was wild, free and uninhibited. She did things that I never had the nerve to do, like, ride a Harley or follow a concert tour. She was an ardent admirer of David Bowie, and Mick Jagger. She was such a force of nature, she'd blow by you in a flash, with that shock of red head flowing. She was incredibly expressive, and used her entire body to tell the most wonderful stories. Most of all, I will think of Thelma and the way her face would glow when she talked about Theresa. She was so proud of Theresa, and the individual she became. They were not only mother and daughter, but great friends. I always have great intentions to keep in touch with those who have made such an impact on my life, but have sadly missed the boat in this instance. I will always have a special place in my heart for Thelma, and will sorely miss her presence in this world. Rest in peace, dude . . . .

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to each of you during this time of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. As a child, I would look forward to Thelma visiting our grandparents on the family farm during her parent’s vacation. It was a time where we could walk down the country road after supper and enjoy the nature of God’s beauty. There was a small creek that we usually played in and got ourselves all wet and dirty and then went back to granny’s for a nice warm bath before going to bed. Thelma always had the warmest smile, beautiful red hair, and a hug and kiss for everyone she met. The Bond family is getting smaller and many have gone on to be the Lord. There will be a great reunion time in Heaven when we meet our loved ones. I am looking forward to that day. Thelma may not have lived a long life but God had a plan and many times we do not understand why things happen as they do in life. I am so thankful she leaves behind a family that loves her and will have many fond memories to cherish. God Bless You! My mom: Lou Ona Bond; brothers: Lester, Harold, Foster, Turk, and Alex; sisters: Susan and Joy send their sympathy as well.

Teresa, My condolences to you and all of your family. I was shocked when your husband told me the sad news when I asked him how your mother was doing and he said she had just passed away that mornng.
