Warren is my God Father, I have so many memories of him and my dad in the garage working on vehicles. I remember coming in with my parents back when we lived out of state , it would be late and he would find me in a sleeping bag on the floor. To me he is my second dad. I love you dad. Heather L. Oh Poppy, what a wonderful soul you were. Your love for your family, community, and your country were inspiring. You were a kind and generous man, one that would lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. You’re one of the smartest people I’ve ever met and you could fix anything and everything with a hard work pays off mentality. Your whole life revolved around your family, never missing a birthday party, holiday, or cookout. As your family grew, you were always excited for another new little one. I know you adored the bond you had with Thomas just as much as he did. My heart aches for him because he doesn’t understand that he can no longer steal Poppops hotdogs, cake, and cheese puffs. He can’t climb up on your lap and watch NASCAR with you anymore. He saw your picture tonight and got so excited which made me so grateful, but at the same time, it crushed me to my core. Though the time was short, these are memories I will forever cherish. I will miss your sarcasm and that funny little laugh of yours, especially when you laughed at your own jokes. The way your ears wiggled when you giggled. I will miss your love for radishes and your hatred for rice. Always handing me a soft peppermint or tootsie roll without asking. But, I will miss that handsome smile and our talks the most. Knowing you’re no longer in pain and are breathing just fine now gives me peace of mind. And knowing that you’re now with your son and your family brings me joy. I’m incredibly blessed that I had you for as long as I did. 32 wonderful years of love from my grandfather. You are the true definition of a great man, and you will forever live in my heart. Give Uncle Bud and Pop a big hug for me. Until we meet again, please watch over us. God needed you more and you can rest easy now, Poppy. I love you and miss you so much
