Anita G. Sowers

Anita Grace Sowers of Edgewood died Nov. 11 at her home. She was 73. Mrs. Sowers was born in Reisterstown, a daughter of the late James Franklin and Carrie Wenner Whitcomb. She was a homemaker who enjoyed the computer, board and card games. She also loved to dote on her grandchildren, family members said. Mrs. Sowers is survived by her husband, Donald Sowers Sr., of Edgewood; sons, Donald Sowers Jr. and his wife, Lynn, of Abingdon, Roy Bain and his wife Paula, of Bel Air, and Kenneth Bain and his wife Vickie, of Deltona, Fla.; a daughter Martha Stuart and her husband Charlie, of Westminster; and 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Viewing was held Wednesday, November 14 from noon to 2 and 4 to 6p.m. at Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home in Aberdeen. A memorial service followed at 5:30p.m. at the funeral home, Lorreta Halstead, of Hospice Clergy, officiated. Interment will be in Darlington Cemetery.
