Bessie G. Whanger

Bessie Gray Whanger Died January 11, 2008 at Lorien Riverside Nursing Home. She is survived by her husband Buddy E. Whanger; one son William (Bill) Poland of Rehobeth Beach, DE. She was predeceased in death by her daughter Bessie G. Joyner, sons John M. Metzgar and David C. Metzgar, and sister Lavern Toomey and parents Gordon Poland and Fleta Willis Poland. Born July 17, 1926. She was active in the bus ministry both in Dundalk and Morley Park Church of the Nazarene. She was also a teacher in children’s church and active in children’s work in the church. She was active in visitation and working in the church. She was a member of the Church of The Nazarene for 40 years. She lived in Edgewood the past 11 years. Loved by her family and children we will all miss her very much. A memorial service was held January 13, 2008 at the Dundalk Church of the Nazarene. A time of Sharing was held and several people shared about her life and her relationship to them. She will be interred at the Oaklawn Cemetery January 15, 2008 at 9:00am Funeral Home: Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home 333 South Parke Street Aberdeen, MD US 21001
