Dear Family, I was sorry to hear that Iona had passed away. I enjoyed playing songs for her, even when she didn't feel like hearing one. I knew she liked Gospel songs, so when she wasn't in the mood to hear one, I would "play one for her roommate" and Iona would thank me for it. May God comfort you in your time of sorrow. Dear Lewis and Mary Lou, Betty Ann Conner (my sister-in-law) sent me an email about your Mother's death. It is hard to be sad, when she lived such a long full life and what a peace to know that she is now with the Lord. I remember meeting her at lunch one day, I came with Betty Graybill Hopkins. However, having said that, it is a great loss when you lose you Mother. I sm enjoying spending my winter in Sebring, FL. I came down here on December 14 and will be home, Lord willing, on April 19. I will look forward to seeing you all this spring/summer. Love, by grace alone, Shirley
